He was born February 27, 1945, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, son of James and Loretta Maricle. After graduating from Bishop Moore High School, he attended Orlando Junior College, in Orlando, FL. Mike went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1965-1969. He received a degree in statistics from the University of Central Florida, an accounting degree from the University of South Florida, and his MBA from the University of Toledo. He was a Certified Public Accountant. CFO for Hooters. In 2007, he began working as an adjunct instructor for online classes at Grand Canyon University and recently he worked at Nielson. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Claudia; one son, Jeffrey M. Maricle; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and three grandchildren, Hunter, Kiersten and Maddison, of Clearwater, FL; sister, MaryAnn Haas, Flagler Beach, FL; and two brothers, Steve Maricle, Melbourne, FL and Tom Maricle, Orlando, FL. Mike was a dedicated father and grandfather. His family was his life. He spent most of his free time attending numerous soccer games and other activities of his grandchildren. Mike never missed an opportunity to brag about his grandchildren. He was extremely proud of all his grandchildren’s accomplishments. He was an avid sports fan and knew statistics about most teams, including baseball, basketball, football and especially soccer. (He especially kept on top of Virginia Tech Soccer since July 2011). Mike also enjoyed playing bridge. He was a member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor, FL.
