Joseph “Bob” McAtee, 89, of Washington, IN passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020, at Emerald Place.
Bob was born June 26, 1931, in Washington, to Gertrude Agnes (Smith) and Hugo Joseph McAtee. He graduated from Washington Catholic High School. He retired from Daviess/Martin County REMC. Bob was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
Bob is survived by a niece, Jane Groves of Bloomington; nephew Tony Wilson of Falls Church, Virginia; three cousins, Christine Ledgerwood of Washington, Carla Jones and Mary Lane Carter, both of Evansville; two sisters-in-law, Judy Brewer of Washington and Katie Rohlfing of Lebanon; and brother-in-law Phil Stiles of Washington.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jane (Stiles) McAtee, who he married Sept. 4, 1970, and passed away June 29, 2019; two sisters, M. Eleanor Walker and M. Edrea Case; and a brother, John T. McAtee.
