Roger B. Doane, 81, of Bloomfield, IN passed away on Monday October 12, 2020 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
Born September 28, 1939 in Jasper, Indiana the son of Bert C. and Lillian (Fehribach) Doane.
Roger was a U.S. Navy veteran, he was a retired Computer Specialist from Crane, had worked for IBM and Bloomfield School, he was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Bloomfield, founding member of the Knight’s of Columbus in Linton, Bloomfield Jaycee’s, Bloomfield Lions Club, served on the Board of Directors at St. Meinrad, Board of Trustees for the Bloomfield Eastern Greene Public Library, served as Chairman of the Bloomfield Town Council and was a member of the Emergency Planning Committee.
Surviving relatives include his two sons, David Doane of Bloomfield, James (Laurie) Doane of Mountain Home, Idaho; two grandchildren, Kyle Doane and Maggie Doane, two great grandchildren, Magnolia Branaman and Londyn Doane, one sister, Ruth Ellen Doane of Terre Haute, two brothers, Paul (Linda) Doane of Carmel and Mark (Valerie) Doane of Seabrook Island, South Carolina.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife Judy Doane on May 9, 2018; one sister Mary Joyce Adkins and his parents.
