Msgr. Donald W. Eichenseer, died at St. Paul’s Nursing Home in Belleville. He was 76 years old. He was ordained a priest on May 27, 1961 by the Bishop Albert R. Zuroweste.The Rite of Christian Burial will begin with the Reception of the Body at St. Teresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church in Belleville at 3:30 p.m. on Monday Dec. 26. Visitation will be held at the church from 4-8 p.m. On Tuesday, Dec. 27, visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until the funeral liturgy begins at 10:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Teresa’s at 10:30 a.m. by Bishop Stanley Schlarman with Father Dennis Voss giving the homily.A luncheon will be served in the parish center immediately after the Mass. Interment will be in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Hecker following the funeral luncheon. Msgr. Eichenseer was born on May 3, 1935, the son of Victor and Barbara C. Mueth Eichenseer. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters-in-law Wilfred Eichenseer, Cyril (Irene) Eichenseer and Mary Beth (Mrs. Irvin) Eichenseer; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Angela C. (Clarence) Wittenauer and Lucinda (Robert) Koesterer. He is survived by one brother, Irvin Eichenseer; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; and cousins.The Messenger will carry a complete obituary in the Jan. 5, 2012 issue.From the Wisconsin Messenger.
