Monsignor William M. Faber, 99, passed away at Saint Anne Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Evanston, Ill., he was a retired Catholic Priest with 72 years of service. He was ordained to the priesthood at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, Fort Wayne on June 6, 1936, and was a member of Knights of Columbus for over 65 years. He had 12 years of elementary and secondary education; two years minor seminary at St. Joseph’s College, Rensselaer, IN; two years philosophy at St. Gregory Seminary, Cincinnati, OH; and four years theology at Saint Meinrad Seminary, St. Meinrad, IN. He was appointed Assistant Pastor at Holy Angels Parish, Gary, IN; Vice-Officialis, in Fort Wayne; Chaplain at St. Vincent Villa; Judge Matrimonial Court, in Fort Wayne; founding Pastor at Queen of Angels Parish, Fort Wayne; and Pastor at Immaculate Conception Parish, Kendallville, IN. He retired in July of 1980. Survivors include sister, Sr. Mary Pierre, retired-Sacred Heart Convent of Wilmette, IL; and nephew, Dan O’Brien of Zanesville, OH. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Regina Hazle, Gertrude Faber, Veronica Kontny and Elizabeth “Betsy” O’Brien; and brothers, Peter and Nicholas Faber. Memorials to Monsignor William M.
