Neil “Bud” Atwell, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, was born on June 3, 1941, in Indianapolis to the late William and Mary Atwell. He passed away peacefully at his residence in Greenfield, Indiana, on September 10, 2024. Bud was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many with kind and welcoming personality, as well as his infectious sense of humor.
Throughout his life, He dedicated himself to his career and community. He owned and operated his own Insurance Agency, where he was not just businessman, but a trusted advisor and friend to his clients. His integrity and commitment to his work earned him the admiration of countless individuals whose lives he influenced.
Bud was not only a hardworking professional but also a man dedicated to his family. He is survived by his loving children, Thomas Atwell, Debbie (Steven) Goodman, and Lisa (Gary) Bedell. His grandchildren were a special source of joy in his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bud found great joy in playing golf, often spending weekends on the course with friends and family. His laughter and zest for life made every gathering brighter and more enjoyable.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marsha Atwell, with whom he shared 53 beautiful years of marriage. Their love story was one of deep connection and unwavering support, a legacy that will live on forever.
