Pat was born on November 30th, 1946 and her parents were Anthony X. Allgeier and Dorothy Jackson Allgeier. Pat was preceded in death by her son Kevin, her parents, her infant brother Billy Joe and infant granddaughter Meadow. Pat’s death came at 2:03 a.m. October 25th, 2024 after suffering a long illness.
She is survived by her husband Tom and children Dionne, David and Mark (Carrie) Norris; her sister Rosie Allocco and brother Robert (Jean) Allgeier; her eight grandchildren Jake, Nick and Mike Schoen, Lali Sims, Ava, Eden, River and Iyla Norris.
Pat graduated from Christ the King grade school, Loretto High School, and Spaulding University. She received her master’s degree from Fordham University and her doctorate from Spaulding University.
She began her working career as the first director of religious education in the Archdiocese of Louisville and continued educating adults for the next fifty years. She ended her service to the Diocese when she received a letter from the chancery saying that she had retired, which she had not. However, she continued working and teaching online at the University of Notre Dame until she became too sick.
