Patrick, 66, of Williams Bay, WI and Aurora, IL, died peacefully in the Lord. Patrick was born March 25, 1945 in Hinsdale to Frank and Marguerite (Canty) Sherry of Aurora, IL.He attended elementary school at Holy Angels School in Aurora, and graduated from Marmion Academy in Aurora. He furthered his education at Quincy University in Quincy, IL, where he received a bachelor degree in sociology. During his lifetime, he was a teacher in the field of education, a stockbroker, a business owner of a winter ski shop, the director of internal operations at the DeKalb Bank in DeKalb, IL, and a pro golfer and instructor.Patrick’s proudest accomplishment was that of achieving the title of Golf Professional in 1978. He enjoyed teaching people the sport of golf and taught at many U.S. courses. He was instrumental in setting up several golf courses in southeast Asia. A life long athlete, Patrick’s passion was to golf like Greg Norman (Shark) and Phil Mickelson.Patrick leaves this world having given much more than he took from it. He is the loving father of Megan and Ryan; the loving brother of Thomas (Charlene) Sherry of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Rev. Robert Sherry of McHenry, and Mary Ellen (Thomas) Norlen of Langhorne, PA; the dear uncle of Kevin Sherry, Amy (Kevin) Brown, Rebecca (Ronald) Nakoneczny, Amanda (Jose) Oliva, Tracy Norlen, and Nicholas (Lindsay) Norlen.
