Patrick Michael Sobczak, 61, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Hock Family Pavilion, Durham, North Carolina. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 12, 1952 to the late Daniel and Julia Sobczak. He had a lifelong zest for knowledge. In 1990, he graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama with a Doctorate of Philosophy. In 2004, George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia awarded him as an honor student to study comparative health care systems at Oxford University, England. He married Christie Siegel of Arlington, Virginia in 2005.
Patrick is survived by wife, Christie, sister, Carol Jean Feltman, brother, Kenneth Sobczak and 7 nieces and nephews.
