Paul was an aeronautical engineer at Pratt and Whitney and was instrumental in putting into flight many of the military planes. After attending several years at St. Meinrad Archabbey in Indiana, he attended and graduated from Rose Poly Tech in Terre Haute, Indiana, and moved to Florida to work at Pratt and Whitney. This was the start of his over thirty-year career as an aeronautical engineer. Paul was instrumental in developing the F15, F16, and F22 as well as the Blackbird and Stealth bomber. Nothing would light up his face more that seeing them in flight.
His love of flying started at an early age when, as a college student, he offered to babysit 7 children in exchange for flying lessons. His love for flight continued throughout his life and included several light-weight planes to fly and work on. Paul was still in the process of rebuilding his Luscombe. He and Navy pilots Don Baggett and Bill Watkns restored a Stearman bi-plane.
Paul was a man of many talents and energy.
