Mr. Kemp, 81, passed away, at The New Willow Manor with family members by his side. He was born on September 19, 1929 to Edmund and Marie (Youngstafel) Kemp in Vincennes. He married Barbara Blunk on June 14, 1950. Ray was a reporter for the Vincennes Sun Commercial and drove for the I.V. Coaches and worked in the office. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the National Guard. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; his daughters Therese Denny of Vincennes and Elizabeth Waldroup of Evansville; his sons Gregory Kemp of Rising Sun, IN, Robert and his wife Kari Kemp of Vincennes, and Christopher Kemp also of Vincennes. He also has 6 grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters. Ray is also survived by 2 brothers, Charles Kemp of Webster Grove, MO and Paul and his wife Margaret Kemp of Arlington, VA; one sister Mary Ann Deibele of Kiel, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Eric Kemp and 2 brothers.Memorial Contributions may be made to the Christian Education Foundation.
