Rev. Msgr John M. Wright Capt, CHC, USN, retired SAN DIEGO, CA. Born Sept. 23, 1936 and passed away April 11, 2015. He is survived by his sister Phoebe Jane Alfke and many loved nieces and nephews. He was ordained on May 6, 1962 at Saint Meinrad Seminary. He was appointed Navy Chaplain on May 23, 1967. Named Monsignor on February 19, 1995. Retired from the Navy July 1, 1997. In retirement Father was part-time sacramental assistant at parishes in Diocese of San Diego. He also loved golf and spent time reading and studying the Civil War. Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 16th, at Nazareth House, 6333 Rancho Mission Road, San Diego, CA. Rosary at 9 a.m. preceding Funeral Mass. Msgr. Wright will be buried with his parents in Stilesville, IN. Msgr. Wright (known as Padre to his family) humbly served God for over 50 years and proudly served his country for 30 years!
