Robert Bob” Henry Czapinski, 54, of Woodinville died of heart failure at Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Terri, and daughter, Jennifer, both of Woodinville; sons, Jeremy and Neil, both of San Diego and a brother David (Karen) of Pittsburgh, PA.Mr. Czapinski was born May 13, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Saint Meinrad Seminary, St. Meinrad, IN and Seton La Salle High School in Pittsburgh in 1968 and from California State College at Hayward, CA, in 1984. He married Terri Czapinski on Nov. 10, 1984, in Pleasanton, CA. Mr. Czapinski served in the Navy from 1970-74. He was employed as emergency preparedness manager for Sandia National Laboratory (CA), preparedness manager and emergency planning coordinator for the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office and the California Office of Emergency Services. After moving to Woodinville in 2001, Bob was the disaster recovery business resumption manager at the University of Washington. Bob volunteered his expertise with Northshore School District and Woodinville High School PTA. He was very active as a soccer coach, referee and board member for the Ballistic United Soccer Club in Pleasanton, CA. An avid outdoorsman, Bob also enjoyed camping and fishing.
