Robert F. “Bob” Cunningham81, Indianapolis, passed away Friday October 19, 2012. He was born in Indianapolis on October 11, 1931 to Carl and Lorena Armstrong Cunningham. Bob attended St. Philip Neri Grade School and Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology. He also attended Indiana University, Butler University and Purdue University earning degrees in physical chemistry and zoology. Bob was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. He worked for the Indiana State Job Service for many years before retiring in 2009. His interests included politics, current events, science, philosophy and music, especially classical, baroque and Gregorian chant. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joyce Lutz. He is survived by his wife, Sonia R. Haller Cunningham; son, Mark Cunningham; daughter, Marcia Kimberlin and her husband, Dwight; grandchildren, Joshua and Daniel Kimberlin and his best friend, George Sturm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 27, 2012 at 1 p.m. in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
