Robert J. Lueken, 81 of Ferdinand died Thursday at 11:00 PM at his home in Ferdinand. Robert was born July 19,1931 in Ferdinand to Hubert and Clara (Temple) Lueken. He married Marjorie Kirk on September 3, 1955 in Tell City, IN. Robert was a retired Woodworker. He enjoyed painting, gardening, building bird houses & weather vanes. He also enjoyed fishing and being in the outdoors.Surviving is his wife, Marjorie Lueken, two daughters, Mrs. Francis (Sharon) Gogel of Huntingburg, and Elizabeth DeMuth of Ferdinand. Two sons, Wendell Lueken of Jasper and Gene Lueken of Dale, one sister, Betty Hopf of Jasper. Eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Gervase and Wilfred Lueken.Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand with burial to follow in the St. Ferdinand Church Cemetery.
