Robert J. Lame, 60, of Spring Lake Heights passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 at NY Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in NYC, NY. Mr. Lame recently worked at Trader Joes in Shrewsbury. He was a communicant of St. Catharine’s RC Church in Spring Lake.Born in Neptune, he grew up in Belmar before moving to Spring Lake Heights 35 years ago.He was preceded in death by his father Richard A. Lame in 2012. Surviving are his loving wife of 41 years Marijean (Boyle) Lame; son Robert Lame, Jr. of NYC, NY; daughter Erin Quinn and her husband Colin of Spring Lake Heights; mother Sally A. Lame of Belmar; his twin brother Richard Lame Jr. and his wife Carol of Monmouth Beach; sisters Kathleen Alpaugh and her husband William of Shark River Hills, Patricia Rosenblum and her husband Gary of Middletown; and his adored grandchildren Colin, Dillon, Aidan, Padraig, and Madeline Quinn and Scarlett Lame. He also leaves his beloved cousin Joseph Stornelli of Wall; aunt Elaine Stornelli and her husband Joseph of Wall; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Cookie and George Boyle of Spring Lake; sisters-in-law Jackie Mangini and her husband Michael of Brielle, Caroline DeWyngaert and her husband Kenneth of Rumson, Margaret-Mary Smith and her husband Denis of Spring Lake; brothers-in-law Neil Boyle and his wife Jeanine of Duxbury, MA and James Boyle and his wife Kitty of Colorado; as well as many nieces and nephews.Visiting will be on WEDNESDAY from 4:30-7:30pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home 2028 Hwy 35, Wall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on FRIDAY 9am at St. Catharine’s RC Church, Spring Lake. Burial will follow at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Sea Girt.
