Robert Michael Kolbus died January 1, 2015, at his home in Greenwood, Indiana. He was born May 6, 1936 in Indianapolis to Theodore and Marie Kolbus. Bob attended Little Flower Grade School, St. Meinrad H. S. and graduated from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis in 1954. Robert majored in economics at Xavier University in Cincinnati, graduating in 1958. After two years in the U.S. Army where he was trained on the Atomic 280 mm Cannon, he was employed as a salesman for Addressograph-Multigraph Corp.Bob was owner and President of Capitol Supplies, HVAC Distributing Co., as was his father. Capitol Supplies is now owned by his son Ted Kolbus. Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Kolbus (Delp); children, Stephen, Karen Ralph (Craig), Lisa Clifford (Marty), Linda Kolbus and Ted (Kate); grandchildren, Kevin Kolbus (Laura) and Theresa Kolbus, Chip and Catherine Ralph, Nathan, Libby, Elliott, Ian Kolbus; and great-granddaughter, Maya Renee Kolbus.Also surviving is brother, Wayne “Mike” Kolbus (Eleanor), Kathleen Lantz (Dane) and Patty Jacobs (Larry).Bob was a supporter of Junior Achievement, a member of NHAW, Marion County Heating and A.C. Assoc., Knights of Columbus, Cathedral H.S. Alumnae Assoc., Xavier University Alumnae, Indianapolis Chapter, loyal Lew Hirt Society member and an avid Xavier basketball supporter. Fishing in Canada was also a favorite.
