Ronald E. Boarman, age 69, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at his home surrounded by family.Mr. Boarman was born December 20, 1945, in Evansville, to the late Norbert and Elizabeth (Greenwell) Boarman. Ron was a caring, generous individual with a passion for cooking, especially bar-b-que and entertaining family and friends. He enjoyed storytelling, fishing, golf and was always was quick with a witty comeback. He had a lengthy career in the garment and textile industries. He worked for over 40 years in manufacturing, production, imports and consulting. He owned facilities in Virginia and North Carolina and would always let you know if you paid too much for your shirt. He was a loving husband and devoted father. Ron took great joy in doting on his grandkids, nieces, nephews and great-granddaughter.Surviving Ron are his wife of 48 years, Norma (Schmitt) Boarman; two daughters, Andrea (William) Johnson, of Raleigh, N.C., and Melanie Schwab, of Stokesdale, N.C.; eight sisters, Eleanor Neth and Doris Hansert, both of Evansville, Margaret Boarman, of Newburgh, Mildred Parmenter, of Brookesville, Fla., Mary Jo Kaiser, of Evansville, Beverly Olsen, of Davenport, Iowa, Jeanne Kelly, of Evansville, and Regina Boarman of Dubuque, IA; two brothers, Joseph Boarman, of Satsuma, Fla., and Paul Boarman, of Lacrosse, Wis.; five grandchildren, Mitchal, David and Bryan Johnson, Joey Bailey and Rebecca(Troy) Moore; and a great-grandchild, Christina.In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Victor Boarman.
