Roscoe Edward McBride Jr., 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Hamilton Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Newburgh, IN.He was born in Evansville, Indiana, on March 22, 1923, to Roscoe and Pearl (Williams) McBride. Roscoe owned and operated McBride’s Cleaners and retired after working there for 31 years.He was very active in the Civic Theatre for 20 years. His favorite role in at the Theatre was “No Time For Sergeant’s. Roscoe enjoyed fishing in Florida and he had a fishing cabin in Lynnville for 36 years.Roscoe is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alice Marie (Hayden) McBride, of Evansville, IN; daughter, Kathy (Mike) Anderson, of St. Charles, IL; sons, Michael (Mary) McBride, of Downers Grove, IL, Patrick (Pam) McBride, of Evansville, IN, and Timothy (Chrysann) McBride, of Lakewood, CO; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.Roscoe is preceded in death by his parents; grand-daughter, Kelly; and daughter-in-law, Mary Lou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S. Green River Road, Evansville, IN 47715, with Father Jeff Read and Father Ted Tempel officiating. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.Friends may visit from 2 until 6 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711, with a memorial service at 5:30 p.m. Friends may also visit at Holy Rosary on Monday, May 20, 2013, from 9 a.m. until service time.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Reitz Memorial Catholic High School, 1500 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714.
