Silas W. Spaulding, age 83, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 3:12 a.m. on Thursday (January 5, 2017) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.Silas was born at Alfordsville, Indiana on October 4, 1933 to William and Catherine (Colvin) Spaulding. He married Beverly Batchelor on Oct 1, 1961 St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Washington, Indiana.Silas retired from DMI in Ferdinand, Indiana for many years. After retirement he worked in security at Jasper Engines.He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.He enjoyed collections coins as a hobbies, involved in original Dubois County Coin Club. Also was an organizer in the development of the Patoka Valley Center in Jasper.SurvivingWife,Beverly A.
