Sister Margaret Mary, 80, was born Mary Delphine Mattingly on April 9, 1931 in Knottsville, KY. Her parents were the late Marion Ligouri Mattingly and Mary Lillie Aud Mattingly. Sister Margaret Mary was baptized in St. William Church in Knottsville on April 19, 1931.She attended St. William Grade and High School in Knottsville and Mount St. Joseph Ursuline Junior College in Maple Mount. She entered the Passionist Nuns Monastery in Owensboro on Aug. 14, 1949, making her first vows on Aug. 22, 1951, and her perpetual vows on Aug. 22, 1954.Sister was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Joseph Ligouri J.L.” Mattingly, James Robert Mattingly and Thomas Earl Mattingly; and a sister, Clara Ann Mattingly Aull.Survivors include three brothers, Charles V. “Binky” Mattingly (Thelma), John William “Bill” Mattingly (Wilda) and Richard Eugene “Gene” Mattingly (Donna); a sister, Doris Marie Mattingly Fulkerson (Stanley); and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-and great-great-nieces and nephews.Information obtained from The Western KY Catholic.”
