She was born in Evansville on August 21, 1946, to Theodore and Alberta (Logel) Krack who precede her in death.Surviving are four brothers: Paul, Tim and Larry of Evansville and John of Gray, TN; nieces and nephews; and members of her religious community.Sister Mary Ruth entered the Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand in 1964. She made her temporary monastic profession in 1966, and her perpetual monastic profession in 1970. She taught at schools in Vincennes, Evansville, Huntingburg, and at Marian Heights Academy in Ferdinand. She was director of religious education at parishes in Huntingburg, Boonville, and Elberfeld. She was a staff member of Hope Community Program in Little Falls, MN. She was a pastoral associate at parishes in Troy, Cannelton, and Evansville, and a chaplain at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN from 1990 to 2002.
