Stephen Dale Goffinet, 76, passed away on September 26, 2025.
He was born in Perry County on December 7, 1948, son of Dewey A. and Mary B. (Neyenhaus) Goffinet.
Steve was a 1966 graduate of Tell City High School and served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was member of American Legion Post #213 and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2939, where he had served as past commander.
On October 25, 1969, Steve was united in marriage to Judy Hubert at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold. For several years, he was a member of Union Local # 374. He worked for the street department for the City of Tell City until his illness forced his retirement.
Steve enjoyed pitching horseshoes, watching westerns and rooting for the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Hoosiers. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
Surviving is his wife of almost 56 years, Judy Goffinet; daughter, Sonja Poole (Brett); his mother, Bobbie Goffinet; sister, Becky Davis (Wyman); brother, Brad Goffinet (Vicky) and granddaughters, Brittney and Courtney Poole.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dewey Goffinet.
