Stephen J. Vargo Of Ocean Pines, MD, formerly of Millersville, MD, age 60, died on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at home. Born in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Stephen T. and Josephine V. (Golobic) Vargo. He had been a Correctional Officer for the Maryland Department of Corrections and had retired as a Captain. He was also a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. He is survived by one brother, Robert F. Vargo of Hemet, CA and two sisters, Nancy J. Cumins of Oceanside, CA and Sandra A. Bast of Severn, MD. He is also survived by his best friend, Stephen Dressman and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 12, at 12 noon, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Ocean Pines, MD. Entombment in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw, on Monday, May 15, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Children’s International, PO Box 219055, Kansas City, MO 64121.
