Thomas G. Lauck, 77, lifelong resident of Indianapolis, passed away January 28, 2024.   Tom was born the oldest of six children to the late George A. and Rosalyn Marie (Ludwig) Lauck.

Tom grew up on the south side of Indianapolis and attended St. Mark Grade School, graduated from the Latin School and attended Saint Meinrad Seminary.  He graduated from Xavier University in 1970, and it was during his time in Cincinnati, he met his future bride, Sheila A. Tom was good with finance, treasury, and all things number related.  He worked in finance for 32 years and later retired from the State of Indiana.  Not one to sit still and not a real hobby enthusiast, Tom went back to work for several years for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, assisting parishes with business management.  He was formerly a parishioner of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and for the past 25 years, a member of Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi Catholic Church.  Tom was known for his independence, dry humor, and ability to sprinkle in sarcasm to about any circumstance.  He will be remembered for his strong devotion to his family, church, pets, and friends, many with whom he shared his early formative years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Lauck.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sheila; children, Matthew (Johanna) Lauck and Elizabeth (Tracy) Godfrey; one grandson, Trent Godfrey; siblings, Gary (Kim) Lauck, Rick (Patty) Lauck, George (Melanie) Lauck; Peggy (Dan) Delaney; a large extended family consisting of many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his faithful canine companion, Maggie.
