Mr. Thomas Joseph Lasher, Sr., 80, of Tell City, IN, passed away on January 8, 2023. Tom was born March 31, 1942, in Evansville to Clarence and Mildred (Heierman) Lasher. He was united in marriage to Carolyn (Dauby) on June 24, 1972, at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Bristow, Indiana.

Tom graduated from Memorial High School in Evansville in 1960 and served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965. Tom worked for 18 years at the Tell City Chair Company, and later as a custodian at Perry Central Community Schools. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Tom loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, he was an avid reader, and enjoyed studying theology and religion. In his youth he studied for a time at Saint Meinrad Archabbey.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Carolyn; three daughters Juliette (Anthony) Hardesty of Rockport, Sara (James) Paquette of Santa Claus, and Mary Lasher of Tell City; two sons, Thomas (Shari) Lasher, Jr. of Corydon, and Christopher Lasher of Bristow; and 8 grandchildren, Joe, Maddie, Ellie, and Anna Lasher, Emily and Adam Paquette, and Sam and Nathan Hardesty. Also surviving are two sisters, Valada (Richard) Howard of Newburgh and Sharon Staley of Evansville; one brother, Cecil Lasher of Florida.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters, Dolores Schoenbachler, Johanna Seibert, Evelyn Orth, Anita Lasher, Carolyn Lee, Virginia Seibert and Janet Morris and two brothers, Anthony and Raymond Lasher.
