Thomas Paul Klee, 82, of Fort Wayne, died peacefully on April 6, 2016. Born November 20, 1933, in Bloomington, Tom was the youngest of 6 children born to Joseph and Cecilia (Kluemper) Klee. After serving in Wiesbaden, Germany, with the US Army, Tom and the former Mary Ellen Voisard married and relocated to Ft. Wayne. Tom worked 35 years for the Lincoln National Life Ins. Co., retiring in 1996. Tom was active in local politics, serving many years as the Democratic precinct committeeman. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, where he volunteered for St. Vincent de Paul and lent his beautiful tenor voice to the Pontifical choir for 50 years. Tom was a master of both the garden and the kitchen. In addition to his parents, his wife of 52 years, Mary Ellen; brothers Herman, Rev. Joseph, Raphael, and Cyril Klee; sister, Alma Therese Klee, SP; granddaughter Chelsea Hines and great-grandchildren Adelaide, Addison and Thomas Alter and Boston Hines preceded Tom in death. Tom was the loving father of five children: Kevin (Jan) Klee, Karen (William) Benson, and Kent Klee of Fort Wayne; Kimmerly (Kenneth) Klee-Bird of Greenwood; and Kierstin (James) Bueter of Bluffton. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Shirley Voisard Marsh; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
