Indianapolis – Thomas J. “Tom” Lahey, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 15, 2018. Born on January 20, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Charles and Edith Lahey, Tom was a Navy veteran, member, past Commander and Chaplain of American Legion Kenneth N. Dowden Post #64. He retired from Citizens Gas Company, and was owner of three H & R Block franchises for 45 years. Tom is survived by his wife, Judy Susemichel-Lahey; daughters, Cindy (Tony Whittle, Sr.) Lahey-Whittle, and Chrissy (Jason Hawkins) Lahey-Hawkins; step-children, Steven (Kari) Susemichel, Trena Brim, and Nancy (Tank) Spiller; grandchildren, Anthony, Matt, Riley, Kathryn, Angela, Josh, Stephanie, Jennifer, Jason, Justin, and Jullian; brothers, Mike, John, and Stephen Lahey. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Mae Lahey; grandson, Eric Brim; brothers, Fa. Charles Lahey, and Jerry Lahey.
