Vernon H. Welp, age 80, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 12:23 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at home.Vernon was born on September 3, 1937, to August and Irma (Miller) Welp. He married Judy Harritt August 3, 1963, in St. Simon’s Catholic Church in Washington, Indiana.Vernon was a 1955 graduate of Jasper High School.He was an insurance agent for Prudential for 32 years.He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, the Jasper Outdoor Recreation, the Jasper K of C.He enjoyed fishing, boating, travelling, and watching I.U. Basketball.Surviving are his wife, Judy Welp, Jasper, IN, one daughter, Ann Clark, and fiancΘ, Kevin Horney, Jasper, IN, four sons, Mike Welp, Jasper, IN, John (Lynn) Welp, Jasper, IN, Rob (Qi), Welp, Rantoul, IL, and Jim Welp, Jasper, IN, 15 grandchildren.
