Vincent J. McLaughlin, 87, of Indianapolis was born April 17, 1919 the son of William G. and Helen (Weber) McLaughlin of New York, New York. Vincent attended minor and major seminary at Saint Meinrad, and was a graduate of both Indiana Business College and the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. A US Navy veteran during WWII, Vincent was decorated for individual valor as a result of his tour in the Philippines. He was an industrial engineer with Western Electric for 35 years, retiring in 1982. Vincent was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Telephone Pioneers of America, Knights of Columbus Fatima Council and Holy Spirit Men’s Club. He is survived by his daughter, Helen R. (Les) Hinshaw; sons, Robert F., Vincent E. (Felicia), Thomas M. (Barbara), James R. (Julie) and William J. (Suzanne) McLaughlin; and 16 grandchildren. Vincent was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth H.
