William J. Bill” Tabor, 64, of Terre Haute, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in Union Hospital. Bill was born in New Haven, Conn., to Augustus Tabor and Catherine B. Grant Tabor, on Jan. 26, 1949. Bill was a graduate of Schulte High School, attended Saint Meinrad Seminary, and graduated from Purdue University and Indiana University School of Law. He was an attorney in the general practice of law.He loved spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, reading, art and especially drawing. He also enjoyed trivia, history and music.He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife, Martha Tabor, whom he married Sept. 9, 1999; his father, Augustus Tabor Sr. of Terre Haute; a daughter, Haley Walker and husband Josh of Horn Lake, Miss.; a stepdaughter, Brooke Thomas and husband Roger of Terre Haute; a stepson, Coty Gaskins and wife Crystal of Terre Haute; one brother, Augustus Tabor Jr. and wife Mary Frances of Terre Haute; five grandchildren, Alex Walker, Lexi Gaskins, Noelle Walker, Sloane Thomas and Averie Gaskins; two nieces, Mariah Tabor of San Diego, and Dr. Catherine Tabor of Washington, D.C.; and one nephew, Augustus Tabor III of Indianapolis.Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. The Rev.
