William J. “Bill” Method, 80, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 in Elkhart, Indiana.He was born Dec. 30, 1933, in Green Bay, Wis., to Hugh J. and Lucille (Reiland) Method. He married Ann Marie Lovisa on Aug. 24, 1957, in Indianapolis.She survives along with one son, Dr. Michael W. Method of South Bend; five daughters, Michelle (John) Jacobs of Puyallup, Wa., Mary (Jim) Evans of Westfield, Margot (Kurt) Miley of St. John’s, Fla., and Melinda (Michael) Nash and Monica (Mike) Cronin, both of Carmel; 16 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary McNamara of Indianapolis and Margaret Hillsamer of Arkansas; and a brother, Peter (Cindy) Method of Michigan.His brother, Hugh Method Jr., and his sister, Sister Lucille Method, both preceded him in death.Bill retired from PDH Office Products where he was a salesman. Prior to PDH he owned Method Office Equipment in Marion. He currently worked part time for Artcraft Printers.He was a member of St. Thomas, where he was a very active volunteer; Elkhart Noon Optimist Club; Rotary Club; Elks Club; St. Joseph’s Men’s Society; and Knights of Columbus. He volunteered for the Salvation Army, Midwest Museum of American Art and served on the board of Eastlake Homeowners Association.He was an avid Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals fan.He served as a specialist in the U.S. Army during World War II.
