Wilson E. Stemm, D.M.D, 93, died at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany.Dr. Stemm was born in Corydon IN, May 12, 1916 to Frank and Susan Habermel Stemm and was the widower of his beloved wife of 65 years, Ella Mae Rhiel Stemm.He was a wonderful husband and father and enjoyed life to the utmost. Dr. Stemm practiced dentistry for some 42 years at Stemm Dentistry on East Spring Street in New Albany, where his son, Wilson Stephen Stemm, D.M.D. now practices and Wilson Daniel Stemm D.M.D. (grandson) will be practicing soon.He was a major in the Army Air Corps during World War II, a member of Hobart Beach Post #1693 in New Albany, a 4th degree member of the Cardinal Ritter K. of C. and lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany.Survivors include children, Victoria “Vicky” Lopp (Gary E.), New Albany and Wilson Stephen Stemm D.M.D. (Dorothy A.), Elizabeth, IN; sister, Jean Poling, Phillippi, WV; six grandchildren, Erika and Andrea Lopp, Wilson Stemm III (Rebekah), Stephanie Bratcher (Brandon), Christine Kraft (Nicholas) and Heidi Mae Vix (Alex); and five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Madeline, Wilson IV, Craig and Abigail.Expressions of sympathy to: St. Mary’s Catholic Church of New Albany.Information obtained from the Louisville Courier Journal online, www.courier-journal.com”
